The spouse of the French Ambassador arrived the East Wing of Unity Palace at 3.30 p.m. precisely for the courtesy visit to Cameroon’s First Lady, Madam Chantal BIYA. This is a time honoured tradition for spouses of friendly countries, as the wife of the French Ambassador came for the first direct discussions with Madam Chantal BIYA.
Madam Anne GAIN registered as a member of CERAC when she arrived Cameroon in October last, and has since met with the First Lady during the general assembly of CERAC in December and during the presentation of New Year Wishes at the beginning of the year.
The Spouse of the French Ambassador has a lot in common with the First Lady, as she is also very concerned with humanitarian activities. It is in this light that Madam Anne GAIN and other women of the Diplomatic Wing of CERAC were in the Lekie Division today to evaluate the needs of a child care centre for disabled and sick children. The audience at Unity Palace today was therefore a meeting of two people who are very much concerned with humanitarian activities.
