President Paul BIYA receives Letter from French President Emmanuel Macron

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA granted an audience at the Unity Palace on 22 February 2021 to H.E. Christophe Guilhou – the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Cameroon.

Ambassador Christophe Guilhou was bearer of a sealed message from President Emmanuel Macron.

The French Diplomat also had a lengthy conversation with the Head of State. He revealed to pressmen at the end of the audience that they focused on Cameroon’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We also had an exchange of views on how to develop and enhance cooperation between Cameroon and France in the fight against the COVID-19,” he said.

This was in line with President Emmanuel Macron’s recent appeal for the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines to African countries.

President Paul BIYA and his guest equally discussed on Cameroon’s internal affairs, sub-regional integration and Franco-Cameroonian bilateral relationship.
