First Lady Pays Homage to Artistes and Comedians at 12th Canal d’Or Awards

Mrs Chantal BIYA was guest of honour at the live broadcast of the 12th edition of the Canal d’Or Awards. The lively and exciting ceremony was organised at the Yaounde Conference Centre on 9 March 2019.

It was a sublime occasion for Cameroon’s most prolific artistes and comedians to be recognised for their outstanding talent and firm dedication, which has been a huge contribution to the growth of the country’s rich culture. The laureates seized the opportunity to convey messages to promote unity, solidarity and patriotism among artistes, comedians and the Cameroonian people.

First Lady Chantal BIYA had the privilege to hand over the most important award of the night – best Cameroonian male artiste – to LOCKO.

The other big winners of the night include: Daphne (who bagged home four trophies), John Duchant, Charlotte Dipanda, Mr Leo, Dr Nkeng Stephens, Moustik le Karismatik, Vincent Batanken, Syndy Emade, Nabila, Salatiel, Ben Decca, Elvis Kemayo, Grace Decca, and Toto Guillaume.
