The Presidential Couple landed at the nation’s capital from Ndjamena - Chad on 1 November 2017, where they successfully participated at the ground-breaking and extraordinary summit of Heads of State and Government of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC).

The President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA and Mrs. Chantal BIYA received a very warm and cordial welcome from the Chadian President Idriss DEBY ITNO and Mrs. Hinda DEBY ITNO at the Hassan Djamouss International Airport in Ndjamena, when they arrived the Chadian capital to attend the CEMAC extraordinary summit.
At the invitation of His Excellency Idriss DEBY ITNO, President of the Republic of Chad and current Chairman of the Conference of Heads of State of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC), the President of the Republic of Cameroon, His Excellency Paul BIYA, and his wife, Mrs Chantal BIYA, left Yaounde this afternoon for N'Djamena, Chad, to take part in the Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC), scheduled for Tuesday, 31 October 2017.
