The Head of State His Excellency Paul BIYA and Madam Chantal BIYA arrived the French capital on the eve of Wednesday 4 November 2013 to a hectic welcome from the Cameroonian community resident in France. Cameroon’s Ambassador to France Lejeune MBELLA MBELLA led the enthusiastic crowd of officials and well-wishers to give the Presidential Couple a befitting welcome.

President Paul BIYA and his wife will be staying at Hotel Le Meurice, which is situated at the centre of Paris and is a few minutes ride to the Elysée Palace. Alongside forty other African leaders, he will be joining French President François HOLLANDE for a summit on the 6th and 7th of December 2013 on peace and security in Africa. The French President and his counterparts of Central Africa will also hold a mini-summit in the afternoon of 7 December 2013 that will focus on the situation in the Central African Republic.

President Paul BIYA’s presence at these meetings is a clear testimony of the attachment of the Cameroonian leader to peace and security and the willingness of our country to be part of all efforts to secure meaningful economic and social development for the people of Africa.
