The Head of State His Excellency Paul BIYA has called on the international community to join Cameroon and the countries of the Central African sub-region in the fight for the protection of endangered species. President Paul BIYA made the presentation at a meeting convened by French President François HOLLANDE centred on the fight against the poaching and trafficking in endangered species.

In his speech to the over ten Heads of State present at the meeting, the President of the Republic outlined the measures that have been taken by Cameroon to fight against the wanton killing of endangered species in the country, where national parks and other protected areas have been set up to ensure the safety of wildlife.
