The President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA and his wife, Madam Chantal BIYA, had a hearty welcome in Brussels where he will attend the 4th European Union – Africa summit from 2nd to 3rdApril 2014. The summit is holding under the theme “Investing in people for prosperity and peace”.

The Presidential Couple was received at the Melsbroek air base by the Ambassador of Cameroon to Belgium and the European Union, Daniel EVINA ABE’E, and then later moved to the Hotel le Meridien where a huge crowd of Cameroonians living in the Low Countries (Belgium, Holland and Luxemburg) welcomed them. Most of them militants of the CPDM, expressed their unalloyed support to President Paul BIYA and to the First Lady Madam Chantal BIYA.

President Paul BIYA will take part in the summit where issues such as peace and security and the prosperity of the population will be discussed.

A special meeting on the crisis in the Central African Republic is also scheduled on the 2nd of April, on the side-lines of the summit.
