The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA, and First Lady Chantal BIYA are back in Yaounde, following a brief private stay in Europe.
The Presidential Couple arrived at the Nsimalen International Airport at 4:50 p.m. on 1 October 2025.
Prime Minister, Head of Government Joseph Dion Ngute, and the Minister of State, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh, welcomed them at the tarmac.
A fervent crowd of supporters and sympathisers of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) from the Mefou and Afamba Division was also present at the esplanade of the presidential pavilion of the airport to salute their illustrious leader and his spouse. They equally renewed their commitment to vote massively for the incumbent in the upcoming presidential election scheduled for 12 October 2025.
President Paul BIYA and First Lady Chantal BIYA acknowledged their action and waved back graciously from their passing motorcade. A similar effervescence was witnessed along the itinerary to the Unity Palace, especially at major junctions where jubilant denizens congregated.
