The President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA and Mrs Chantal BIYA arrived Paris on Wednsday 21 June 2023 to attend the summit for a new financial pact organised in the French capital. Cameroon’s Ambassador to France Andre Magnus Ekoumou was on hand at the Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport to welcome them. On hand at the airport grounds was an enthusiastic crowd ready to celebrate the presence of the Presidential Couple in Paris.
At the invitation of His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA, President of the Republic of Cameroon, left Yaounde today, accompanied by his wife, Mrs Chantal BIYA, to attend the Summit for a New Global Financial Pact which will be held in Paris from 22 to 23 June 2023.
In continuation of the diplomatic ceremonies that started last week, the President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA received letters of accreditation from another batch of six Ambassadors at the Unity Palace on Friday 9 June 2023. The event started at 2.00 pm when the Ambassador of Spain to Cameroon, His Excellency Ignacio Rafael Garcia Lumbreras arrived at the courtyard of Unity Palace, where a guard of honour mounted by the Presidential Guard was already in place.
In continuation of ceremonies to present diplomatic credentials to the Head of State, the President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA received seven new ambassadors on Wednesday 7 June 2023.
The President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA was today Friday 2nd June 2023 at the centre of a hectic diplomatic ceremony at Unity Palace during which he received letters of accreditation from five Ambassadors recently posted to Cameroon. These included the Ambassadors of Equatorial Guinea, the Republic of Korea, Belgium, Tunisia and Turkiye.
The President of the Republic, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, His Excellency Paul BIYA presided over a grand military and civilian parade on 20 May 2023 to commemorate the 51st anniversary of Cameroon’s National Day at the emblematic 20th May Boulevard.
Mr Abdou Abarry, United Nations Special Representative of the Secretary General and Head of the UN Regional Office for Central Africa (UNOCA) was received in audience at Unity Palace on 29 March 2023 by the President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA.
