President Paul BIYA rewards winners UMS Loum

The winners of the 2015 Cup of Cameroon UMS Loum received the trophy from the hands of the Head of State His Excellency Paul BIYA, who personally presided over the finals that also marked the end of the 2015 sports season. At the end of the thrilling encounter that pitted the Loum team against Panthere of Bagangte, UMS won the match by 2 goals to zero, giving the team that was playing their first final in the cup of Cameroon victory over the team from Nde Division.

Ministerial Council meeting focuses on growth

The President of the Republic His Excellency Paul BIYA has called on the Government to work harder and better so as to improve the living standards of Cameroonians and ensure the smooth hosting of the African Cup of Nations in 2016 and 2019. The Head of State gave these and other firm instructions during the ministerial council meeting that held on Thursday 15 October 2015 at Unity Palace.

President Paul BIYA and wife are back home

The Head of State His Excellency Paul BIYA and Madam Chantal BIYA returned to Yaoundé on Saturday 12 September 2015 after a brief private stay in Europe. The Presidential Couple landed at the Nsimalen International Airport in Yaoundé shortly after 4 pm and were warmly received by senior State personalities and an enthusiastic crowd of party militants and well-wishers.

Concerted action to eradicate Boko Haram

Cameroon and Nigeria will hence forth step up their concerted action so as to rapidly end the scourge of the Boko Haram terrorist group. This was made clear by the joint communique read at the end of the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to Cameroon by the Permanent Secretary at the Nigerian Ministry of Defence, Mr. Alhadji ALIYU ISMAILA, and Cameroon’s Minister of External Relations, Professor Pierre MOUKOKO MBONJO.
