"On Sunday, 12 July 2015, two separate criminal blasts caused by two suicide bombers occurred at 7.00 p.m. and 7.05 p.m. in Fotokol, a Cameroonian locality situated opposite the Nigerian town of Gambaru.

The blasts killed 13 people, including 10 civilians, one Chadian soldier and the two suicide bombers, injured seven people, including four Chadian soldiers and three Cameroonian soldiers. 

The president of the Republic, H.E. Paul Biya, strongly condemns such cowardly and heinous attacks. 

The Head of State extends his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and his deepest sympathy to the injured and to the affected populations. 

The president of the Republic has issued firm instructions to the defence and security forces on the measures to be taken in order to scale up security in our country. 

He urges the population to be more vigilant and reaffirms his resolve to spare no effort in ensuring that Cameroon continues its relentless march towards emergence in peace, security and serenity."
