The Head of State His Excellency Paul BIYA and his wife Mrs. Chantal BIYA returned to Yaoundé on Saturday 28 June 2014 following his remarkable participation at the 23rd summit of the African Union that held in Equatorial Guinea. They touched down at the Nsimalen International airport in the early afternoon and were received by senior State personalities, including the President of the Senate, Marcel NIAT NJIFENJI; the Speaker of the National Assembly, CAVAYE YEGUIE DJIBRIL; the Prime Minister Head of Government, Philemon YANG; the Secretary General at the Presidency of the Republic, Ferdinand NGOH NGOH, and a host of other personalities.
President Paul BIYA granted brief audiences to the personalities while the First Lady shared a few moments of relaxation with the wives of the close collaborators of the Head of State. The Presidential Couple then drove back to Unity Palace amid applause from some party militants and well-wishers.
