The august visitor could not hide his admiration for Cameroon and his improvised statement highlighted the esteem he has for the Head of State and his generous policy of economic and social development through sports.

“Cameroon is a historic football country that symbolises

African and world football (...). I wanted to thank President BIYA in person for his commitments, for the investments for young people and football in this country. I wanted to show him FIFA’s collaboration. We are working together. FIFA needs the support of great football countries, and Cameroon is one of the great countries of world football.”

“It is exceptional what Cameroon has been able to achieve

in a very difficult economic context and with the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, it was difficult to invest in youth and football, President BIYA did it, I congratulate him,” he concluded.
