First Lady Chantal BIYA, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, was guest of honour at the annual show that seeks to celebrate the might of the Cameroonian entertainment industry and the actors who play a formidable role in promoting it across the national territory and abroad.
The award ceremony, organised by Canal 2 International at the Yaounde Conference Centre on 28 October 2023, was an occasion for the spouse of President Paul BIYA to commune with artists, actors and comedians. She thanked them for their priceless service towards the promotion of Cameroon's rich and diverse cultural heritage, and encouraged them to keep the flag high.
Several artists were rewarded in different categories. The climax of the evening was the crowning of the best female and male artists of the year - won by KRYS M and KO-C respectively.
First Lady Chantal BIYA handed over the final trophy to KRYS M. This was followed by a family photo with the other laureates of Canal d'Or Act 14 before her departure to the Unity Palace.
