The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA, left Yaounde early this afternoon, on Sunday, 7 June 2026, in the company of his wife, Mrs. Chantal BIYA, for a brief private stay in Europe.

Cameroon celebrated its 54th National Day on 20 May 2026 with a grand military and civilian parade along the 20th May Boulevard, presided over by President Paul BIYA and attended by the First Lady, Mrs Chantal BIYA.
In a moment of transcendent spiritual significance, President Paul Biya and First Lady Chantal Biya joined His Holiness Pope Leo XIV at the Pontifical Mass celebrated in Yaounde on 18 April 2026.
