Leaders of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC) have renewed their commitment to accelerate sub-regional integration and foster growth. This was during an extraordinary summit convened by President Paul BIYA, current chair of the conference of the CEMAC Heads of State, at Unity Palace on 22 November 2019.
The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA and First Lady Chantal BIYA heartily welcomed the Presidents of Chad, Congo, Central African Republic and the Prime Minister of Gabon at the reception in Unity Palace at the start of the CEMAC extraordinary summit. The summit is expected to revamp economic and social cooperation amongst the six member countries of the sub-regional organisation.
The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA, signed a series of texts on 6 November 2019 to appoint State Inspectors, State Controllers and other officials at the Supreme State Audit Office. This vast movement once again reflects the determination of the Head of State to improve governance in the Cameroonian public administration.

The Head of State, His Excellency Paul BIYA in a message to the nation on 10 September 2019 announced the holding of a Major National Dialogue on the situation in the North-West and South-West Regions. Although it will focus mainly on the crisis in these regions, the Dialogue will concern also the people of the other regions of Cameroon.
On the occasion of the national days of Chad, Congo and Gabon repsectively, the President of the Republic H.E. Paul BIYA has sent messages of congratulations to Presidents Idriss Deby Itno, Denis Sassou Nguesso and Ali Bongo Ondimba.
Cameroonians from all walks of life have celebrated the 47th edition of the National Day, with the main military and civilian parades which took place at the 20th May Boulevard in Yaounde. It was presided over by the President of the Republic, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, His Excellency Paul BIYA.
