The Head of State His Excellency Paul BIYA granted audience to the Spanish Ambassador to Cameroon H.E. Marcelino CABANAS ENSORENA at the end of his three year stay in Cameroon.

Speaking to the press at the end of discussions with the President of the Republic that lasted over one hour, Marcelino CABANAS ENSORENA said that he was very happy for the opportunity given to him by President Paul BIYA for cordial and frank overview of the cooperation ties between the two countries. 

The Ambassador of the Spanish kingdom praised the peace and stability that reign in Cameroon which shares the same values and views with Spain on a number of issues: security in the Gulf of Guinea, the fight against terrorism, political and social stability. 

Marcelino CABANAS ENSORENA revealed that Cameroon and Spain have similar rates of economic growth and will continue to work together for the economic emergence of Cameroon.

The Spanish Ambassador is highly convinced that bilateral relations between Cameroon and Spain will grow even stronger in the years ahead. President Paul BIYA offered a gift of Cameroonian sculpture to Marcelino CABANAS ENSORENA at the end of the audience.
